BrauBeviale: An end to blind spots!
The latest version of the HEUFT eXaminer II XOS does not only advance the state of the art in the inspection of full bottles with regard to glass-in-glass detection.
The fact that a full container inspection at the end of the line is more than advisable, at least wherever beverages are filled into glass bottles, is meanwhile well recognized in the industry. This is the only way to detect glass splinters, for example, which have got into the primary packaging between the empty bottle inspector and the capper and pose a massive threat to the safety of the end product. The HEUFT eXaminer II XOS is at the pulse of time and not just in this respect constantly redefining the state of the art for effective consumer and brand protection.
With consistently further developed components for the pulsed X-ray inspection and intelligent HEUFT reflexx A.I. image processing which among other things compensates fluctuation in the thickness for glass and smartly frees the X-ray images from image noise and artefacts the release of the highly automated full container inspector presented at drinktec 2022 already achieves exceptional operating and detection reliability during the glass-in-glass detection.
Up with detection reliability!
The latest one goes one better: for sharper images in full-coverage radiometric dual inspection, the compact full-field X-ray image converter is now closer to the base of the bottle. We have also perfected the integrated HEUFT sinker technology in order to identify foreign objects of a lower density such as pieces of plastic or gaskets in addition to glass fragments. Just like the HEUFT floater for the more precise optical identification of paper, foil and other foreign objects floating in the beverage.
New types of HEUFT reflexx A.I. color sensor cameras in which an adaptive LED illumination is already integrated as well as an intelligent image evaluation now each generate eight front surface views of the bottle base for this purpose. For sidewall inspection, there are even 16! This ensures a complete inspection of these areas without any blind spots. Mould, film, and other weakly absorbing foreign substances in the bottle, which for physical reasons cannot always be detected during pulsed X-ray inspection, are identified just as reliably as contamination, label and adhesive residues, chips and cracks.
Down with the false rejection rate!
As the only end-of-line system of its kind the further developed HEUFT eXaminer II XOS combines the latest version of pulsed X-ray technology which is only available from us with smart high performance optics for this purpose. The double radiometric base inspection for reliable glass-in-glass detection achieves a new level of precision with minimal radiation. The false rejection rate is reduced to less than 0.2 percent! The state-of-the-art device will therefore be one of the exhibition highlights at the HEUFT stand 8-104 at BrauBeviale 2023 in Nuremberg.
And soon afterwards bottlers can look forward to further innovations especially for the reliable detection of the most varied foreign objects and glass defects in already filled spirits bottles which are not infrequently particularly difficult to inspect due to their elaborate designs.
